Yohan Flande Gets Complete Game Shutout
Threshers Hit the Road This Week

Threshers 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 - 2 6 1

The Clearwater Threshers got another terrific outing from Yohan Flande on Sunday afternoon as he went all nine innings keeping the Hammerheads scoreless while scattering six hit, fanning six batters, and walking just one.

The Threshers offense did not manage a lot, but their two runs proved enough behinf Flande's effort. The team got their first run in the third when Yonderman Rodriguez doubled, and scored on a Cody Overbeck single. Michael Durant added an insurance run with a solo blast in the seventh to make it 2-0 and that was all the team would need.

They now hit the road for four games before taking three days off next weekend for the FLorida State League All-Star Game. Yohan Flande, Tim Kennelly and Fidel Hernandez will represent the Threshers at the game in Fort Myers. Kyle Drabek and Dominic Brown were also named from the Threshers to the game, but Drabek has been promoted to Reading, and Brown suffered a broken hand last week, and will mis six weeks of play including the All-Star Game. No work yet as to whether the Threshers will send replacement players or whether the league will choose replacements for them.

There are two games left in the first half of the season after the all-star break, and then all team's records will reset to 0-0 to begin the second half of the season. The Brevard County Manatees have clinched the first half championship alreday since they have a 10 game lead with only six games remaining.

We'll look forward to the second half playoff race beginning soon.

Yohan Flande took the SCHMIDT LIST player of the game award this afternoon.
