Threshers & Cardinals Split Double HeaderCarpenter & Savery Unable to Get Wins Despite Solid Efforts
Just a quick recap today because of the late ending. Joe Savery took the Threshers to within one out of a complete game shutout in game one of the double header, but the Bullpen could not secure the regulation win. The Cardinals rallied to tie the game in the seventh, and then went on top in the eighth. In the bottom of the eighth the Threshers rallied for two runs and clinched game one.
In the second game of the night Andrew Carpenter and the Threshers' offense both got off to a great start with the Threshers leading 4-1 after three innings of play. Unfortunately the offense would go silent, and Carpenter ran into some trouble after that. |
