RAZOR SHINES - MANAGEREXPERIENCE: Shines, 51, joins the Phillies organization after spending last season as the Chicago White Sox third base coach. The former infielder appeared in 68 major league games over four seasons (1983-85, 1987) with Montreal. He spent the last eight years in the White Sox organization. During his minor league managing career, Shines captured the 2003 Carolina League (A) championship with Winston-Salem, was named the Southern League (AA) Manager of the Year in 2005 with Birmingham and guided Charlotte to the International League (AAA) playoffs in 2006. |
